The Department of Psychology and the Inclusive Education Support at Col\u00e9gio Catarina de Bragan\u00e7a emphasizes the importance of partnership between all elements of the educational community in building an inclusive school and in supporting the development and learning of all students.<\/p>\n
The Department benefits from the collaboration of specialised technicians, who are part of a Multidisciplinary Team to Support Inclusive Education at Escola P\u00e1tio da In\u00eas, and who work together with other elements of the educational community \u2013 pedagogical directions, teachers, external specialists who support students and parents \u2013, in order to promote the well-being and success of students.<\/p>\n
The Department intervenes in the educational community with the following objectives:<\/p>\n
Respond to students` needs throughout their school journey, contributing to their overall development and the acquisition of essential skills and education;<\/p>\n
Propose, follow up, monitor and evaluate measures to support learning and inclusion;
Ensure individualized educational support for students, in conjunction with teachers;<\/p>\n
Ensures the existence of inclusive cultures, policies and practices, promoting effective teamwork between elements of the educational team, families and external specialists;<\/p>\n
Implements procedures and strategies for the prevention and promotion of psychological health in a school setting;<\/p>\n
Intervenes in the Educational community, at its various levels, with evaluation procedures and psycho-pedagogical support, psychological consultancy, and counseling.<\/p>\n
